I'm still trying to get rid of the "Black Lines". But can't seem to without destroying the drawing. I guess its just that comfort of that outline being there that makes it feel like a drawing... well I've become good buddies w/ a painter friend, so slowly but surely these "Black Lines" will go away.Hope you all like it.

I like the design here, very animateable. I feel ya. Some people despise anything with a black outline. I'm very attached to them too. even if you get ride of them, you still have to burn the edges to show the surface rotating away right? If you do flat, its got a flat graphical look. Everyone has their likes and dislikes. Anyways, good stuff man!
black lines rule! especially on my eyelids :P
i've not seen many paintings w/o black lines but i'd like to see it done...attempt it and show us!
i like the character. maybe try colored lines.
Thanks Cins! i've actually ran it by my Illustrator friend and he said that the drawing doesn't "Look" complete. :( So i guess "back to the ol' drawing board". haha.
oh, i thought it was a "in the process" piece too. don't need to go back to the drawing board; just keep working on it :)
