Rainy days...

There's been alot going on recently, from spending time w/ my Fiance, shopping, working, and trying to figure out how to paint. I recently turned 35 and one of my good buddies got me a book that had alot of great digital paintings/drawings, so I figure that I would take my work down that path.

As all of you know... its been pouring here ever since friday, and so I figured i'd paint the rainy day...

Wednesday Sketches...

Hey Everyone-

I know I haven't posted anything in a while... its been a hectic November, from b'day parties to thanksgiving with the Family. :) I took pictures of my drawings, because I don't have a scanner, so hopefully Santa brings me one for Christmas. Lets just hope. :)

This is a drawing I did during lunch while eating my Orange Chicken that I made the night before. I figured that since I do mostly all digital it would be nice to go back and do something on paper. It's a good feeling, I tell ya!

Someone special asked me... "do you draw to advance yourself or do you draw for fun?"- my answer to that was or is... I draw to advance myself and also to draw for fun... but more importantly its not the 'look' I go for in the drawing, its the feeling. So I attempted convey that in these drawings. Hope you all like it. :)

Life...

I was having a discussion with a friend yesterday about "Life behind the drawing", that a drawing can look pretty and well constructed... but if it doesn't have life behind the drawing, then all it is, is a pretty drawing. So i've put together a couple random scribbles of Life in a drawing without the 'Pretty' in it. Hope all of you like it.

Black Lines...

I'm still trying to get rid of the "Black Lines". But can't seem to without destroying the drawing. I guess its just that comfort of that outline being there that makes it feel like a drawing... well I've become good buddies w/ a painter friend, so slowly but surely these "Black Lines" will go away.

The Irregular Drawing...

I wanted to draw something that I normally don't draw or really concentrate on... So hopefully there won't be as much "Human" drawings on here, and more of a variety. I'm also trying to include "Life" into my drawings... :) Any crits would be appreciated.

34 years...

Its now midnight, and i'm now 34. I wanted to see how far I am as an artist with everything that i've learned and picked up the past 34 years of experience. Not just with art, but also with life. So its been quite a ride, but lets see where 34 and on takes me.
